Different than household towels seem to be closer to sponge in drawing water away from body. Does soak up lots of water after a shower. It works like it's stated in cyclesource.

Used it on my AC tour and on numerous weekend trips, both on the bicycle and hiking. Weighs nothing, dries fast and easily packs into my bags. Great addition!
