This map section uses multiple bike paths and has moderate to heavy amounts of traffic. In Conshohocken, you'll use the Schuylkill Trail along the Schuylkill River, and continue on a bike path through Valley Forge National Historic Park. The route goes through Lancaster County, which is home to many Amish families. The York County Heritage Trail begins in York, Pennsylvania which becomes Torrey C. Brown Trail in northern Maryland. Nearing Baltimore, two route options are available. The main route skirts the city to the west, using county roads that are often hilly. The Chesapeake Bay Alternate through Baltimore avoids most of the heavy traffic north of the city. In Maryland, the route uses the Rock Creek Trail, and entering Washington, D.C. the route switches to the Capital Crescent Trail. Between Dale City and Richmond, you'll be riding on busy well-signed and well-surfaced network of county roads. Shoulder widths on the roads are variable. I used the map in detail and it helped me with lodging and routing. Got lost once but the 'Google lady' helped me get back on track. Combined rail and bike from Bar Harbor to Stamford CT.

Just to put it out there, there's a splendidly quiet and private campground along the Susquehanna River about halfway from Wrightsville to Delta, PA. Otter Creek Campground, located on Rt. 425S. I believe they are open mid April to October. We arrived on a Sunday afternoon, after they had closed their office. The staff, a husband & wife, were very friendly and most accommodating. We opted for a primitive camp site that was close enough to her the falls of Otter Creek. Beautiful Spot. We even had Pizza Delivery, it was delicious. Give them a chance. It was well worth the nightly rate, under $30.

There's only 1 hotel/motel/B&B in the stretch from outside of Columbia to Jarretsville (we were traveling southbound). In September, you can't stay there due to nearby nuclear power plant cleaning. Had to reroute closer to I-83 which is considerably off route. Make sure you have other maps with you.

some sections of the road have become incredibly busy with suburban sprawl and thus the route needs some additional vetting or re-routing.

This map was great! I used it to cycle from Philadelphia to D.C. This map's route added about 40 miles to a more direct route, but it was totally worth it. The route was beautiful, low-traffic back roads. The only cons were 1) It could be a little more extra durable, and 2) it should with an electronic version. I ended up photocopying the original and using the copy in order to keep the original from getting destroyed (and I also made each section bigger). If I had a digital copy I could have just printed it out!
