It’s a tough time for Amtrak with the pandemic reducing ridership, so we were happy to get some good news - bike services are expanding!

From 160 miles of linked rail trails across the Midwest to 10,000 feet of climbing across the Sierra Nevada mountains, we are excited to announce new U.S. Bicycle Routes in Wisconsin and California!

The Adventure Cycling Route Network hits 50,000 miles long with the release of the new Parks, Peaks, and Prairies Route, filling in the scenic gap between Yellowstone and Minneapolis through the historic Black Hills of South Dakota. Find out more about route highlights, rolling roads, separated bike paths, and how long the mountains-to-prairie connector has been on the minds of ACA cartographers.

They approach as strangers and leave as friends; they make us feel at home when we're far away from everything that is familiar. They are the heart of the bike travel community, even though many of them may never have traveled by bike. Trail Angels make bike trail magic. 

Ride your bike during the weekend of September 25 - 27, 2020 for Bike Travel Weekend and Bike Your Park Day. Create your own ride and choose when you go, who you go with, and where you go or join an existing ride. Everyone who creates a ride or joins a ride will be entered to win a bike.
