The world's longest mountain bike route, this route traces the Continental Divide from Canada to Mexico on dirt and gravel roads, some pavement and some singletrack. This is the set from the Canadian border to the Mexican border, it does not include the northernmost Canada section.

On 7/I6/18 I did a ~ 1800 mile segment of the GDR and wanted to give some feedback on the maps. The new version is an improvement over the old ones in a few ways. Of course updating the route to reflect changes to the roads is key but I also like the way mileages are displayed. Rather than having to look at a text box and figure out what it means on the map, the distances are printed along the route line, which is normal convention and is more intuitive. I also like the way that way-point data is now on a separate sheet (for both north and south-bound riders) that can be cut off and stowed separately. Good job ACA!

Generally maps are very good. It would be helpful to have mileage markers right on the map. When purchasing the physical maps, why not include gps maps as well for free or a small fee.

I have a lot of planning to do to be able to do this ride and the maps have been very helpful. The detail is very good and the ability to see the services at each location is critical. The maps have given me the confidence to pursue a dream not possible without them.

I did the GDR on a motorcycle from the south to the north. Glad I had the map set for reference even though my GPS had my routing on it for navigation.
Envied the folks who have the time to do it on bicycles.
Would be nice to have a south to north mileage reference sheet if a separate map set is not practical.
Mapping done, all that u have to do is pedal..

These ACA maps are accurate, easy to follow and overall there is very little that could be done to improve them. I wish the set included the Canadian Section, because failing to read the fine print I received the maps without it and had to order it rush delivery on Friday before I left for Banff on following Monday!

The maps are very detailed with a lot of information around the route.
A little disappointment for me is the fact that there is no UTM coordinate system on the maps. Maybe a new feature for upcoming editions. Please keep it in mind!

Planning a motorcycle trip down the divide this coming Sept.. Lots of references to this map set on the internet. I am the official route planner for my group so I was hoping the maps would be informative, and accurate. Got my wish and then some. Good stuff. Very glad I ordered these. Lots of info. Nicely laid out. Route is clearly marked, in addition the narative is to the point and easy to follow.
You would be crazy NOT to have these with you no matter what you ride.
Good Work ACA!!

I have ridden the GDMBR until Cuba (NM)between Aug 15th and Sept 14th. I really would like to encourage people who hesitate to ride this trail to do it! What an adventure! Regarding the maps, the maps sold by the ACA are a precious tool that help to find your way easily. They are really usefull and solid...you cannot expect a better quality.
Don't leave home without it!

Indispensable resource for anyone thinking of cycling the GDMBR. Besides the route map and cues, services directories and elevation profiles assure that you have all info needed for a successful trip.

Used these in 2010 to navigate from Calgary to Antelope Wells. Must have them again for the 2013 ride (Suzuki 400). Maps provide excellent detail, are waterproof, tough and dependable. Teamed together with GPS (US topo series loaded), navigation proved easy, in spite of the involved route-finding sometimes necessary. Forest fires caused us to reroute - again the maps & GPS provided all the info we needed. The GDT covers a lot of empty country - all glorious but largely unpopulated so can't ask directions. All maps are important: Adventure Cycling Association GDT maps are indispensable.
