This connector route between the Western Express Route and the Southern Tier Route is a prime example of the vast and beautiful American West. It also connects the magnificent Zion National Park and both sides of Grand Canyon National Park. From the Western Express Route, it offers the opportunity to access Zion National Park and the north rim of the Grand Canyon. From the Southern Tier Route, it is 185 miles to reach the south rim of the Grand Canyon. One of the most spectacular examples of erosion anywhere in the world, the Grand Canyon is unmatched in the vistas it offers to visitors on the rim. Grand Canyon National Park is a World Heritage Site.

I'm planning a trip by bike along the Great Divide Route. The maps of ACA are really helpful for that. They contain all relevant information for survival and additionally the respective region is very well described. I have all the maps from Banff to Antelope Wells as well as Grand Canyon Connector Map 1 and Great Parks 2. For that I say thank you and greetings from Austria. Peter.

I bought the cycling map "Grand Canyon Connector“ and "Utah Cliffs Loop“ because my friends and I are planning (for 2013) to cycle the "Grand Circle“ (Zion – Cedar Breaks – Bryce Canyon – Reef National Park – Canyonlands - Grand Canyon – Historic Route 66 …) and I think for many parts of this route we can use your cycle maps – many thanks for it. What we are still missing is a register of hotels/motels on this route. We are "Old Boys“ (60-70) and we have much expierence in adventure cycling and MTB in Europe. But on the other side we would prefer to avoid accomodation on camping grounds. We will arrive in Las Vegas for this trip. May be the route between Las Vegas and St. George is not very interresting for cycling. Therefore we think to use bus/train (incl. bike transport). I do hope this is possible.

Very nice ride, amazing views, no heavy traffic and nice weather

The detour for Bryce canyon and Coral Sand Dunes should part of this route. The roads are in a perfect condition and there was no heavy traffic event in the peak season of mid-august. Be careful, the information regarding the campground is mostly no up to date.
