The Western Express traverses four western states. It can be combined with the TransAm's eastern sections for a shortcut between the Rockies and the Pacific Ocean. From the Golden Gate Bridge to the Rocky Mountain Front, the route travels through some of America's most extreme terrain, including the Sierra Nevada, "America's Loneliest Highway," Utah's national parks, and the heart of the Colorado Rockies.

I like the ACA Maps but when I ordered Western Express in 2019 they came in from 2015 with pages of changes. I would have thought an updated version would have been printed & sent.

Immensely helpful

Used these in 2005 with a buddy and did the whole ride. They were really helpful for planning food and water stops to best manage weight on the ride, plus allowed for good estimates of arrivals to coming towns. I'd strongly recommend them to anyone interested in doing the ride.

This map set was great. My friend & I rode from San Francisco to Pueblo to raise money for Brain Cancer Research (proceeds go to the National Brain Tumor Society) We loved the detailed maps, it was so helpful to have access to that information right at our fingertips. We often used the suggested hotels/campsites. It was extremely helpful knowing where all of the service stops were.
