The ultimate touring rack when heel clearance is an issue. This rack features a lower bag mounting bar to improve the center of gravity and optimize the use of upper loading area. This design also facilitates mounting on smaller frames. Since bags are mounted further aft, they permit more heel clearance. This new Evo model features the new 3D attachment feet for improved impact absorption and integrated screw attachment. Thin walled 25CrMo4 steel tubes easily tote enough gear to take you across the country - or around the world. 88 lb load capacity*, 730g (rack only). Fits most bikes with 26"and 700c wheels (max width 60mm/2.35"). Black or Silver (until sold out).

  • *NOTE: *Maximum admissible load capacity for this carrier is limited to 26 kg/57.3 lbs. as ISO 11243:2016 allows mounting a child seat from an admissible load of 27 kg /59.5 lbs. or more. The carrier is not allowed for mounting a child seat and consequently not allowed for transporting children; therefore load capacity has to be limited to 26 kg/57.3 lbs. The carrier was successfully tested according ISO 11243:2016 with a test load of 40 kg/88.1 lbs., however, due to the above-mentioned legal reasons it is only admissible for a maximum load of 26 kg/57.3 lbs.

Beautiful and functional

I didn't need extra heel clearance but this rack gave tons more room which never hurts. When carrying a heavy load, I did notice how much further back and behind me the weight was being pulled. It almost felt like I was tugging a small trailer, which made handling a little more sketch without any front load to balance it out. The rack is super strong. I run SKS fenders on my bike and have 2 eyelets above the rear dropout. However, I could only mount this rack on my top eyelet based on how the rack stays were welded. So I had to mount both my fender stays and the rack stays on the same bolt, in the same eyelet. My other eyelet is basically useless and inaccessible at this point. Otherwise, this rack so far feels so solid, is elegant and feels really lightweight for the strength it gives. I'm curious about some of the other Tubus racks like the Cosmo or Grand Tour.

This rack has gone thru some harsh terrain and environment. Has never failed me at all. Installed on a 2009 Cannondale T1 XL since 2010.

Solid Well Built Rack

Been looking at Turbus racks for some time. Principally for the heal clearance but also to be able to easily use the top of the rack while also using both panniers. As a commuter cyclist, I also wanted the flexibility to strap all types of items to the rack and have a number of anchor points to tie items down. Rack installed well and has a much more solid approach to anchoring than many other racks I have installed. Shipped quickly and arrived without any damage.

It's the things you never think about........

I originally got this rack to move my panniers back a bit for heel clearance. The rack accomplishes that and then so much more. There is plenty (though you wouldn't know it to look at it) of clearance near the derailleur so you don't bash it when you put on the pannier. There is room enough to drop the panniers into place without getting your fingers pinched. And the top rack; this is just so good but you never would have even thought about it: I never carry anything on the top of the rack. That way, I always have a place to carry something extra, should the need arise. Food, for example. Or souvenirs. It's also where I carry my wet tent. And the rack is set high enough that the wet tent won't soak the tops of my panniers. I learned that the hard way with my old rack. The rack itself is very sturdy. No flex to it. No rattling either. Top quality parts and pieces. You can't do better.

I found these to move the bags back on the bike just enough to give better heel clearance, built tough
