Efficient Velo Tools’ Safe Zone mirror is over 2 inches in diameter with a 4.5-inch arm. This results in an excellent rear view and hardly any of the neck craning. Equally impressive is how easy the Safe Zone attaches: simply zip tie the mounting bracket to a helmet rib and you’re good to go. The mirror’s cool ball-and-socket arm design lets you easily position the mirror for the best view. Shorten it by snapping it apart and together; remove the mirror from your helmet the same way.
100% Made in USA, all parts sourced within 30 miles of design and assembly facility
Easily installed (and reinstalled on other helmets) with a simple, versatile zip tie mounting system
Unusually robust construction (a hallmark of all things EVT)
Mirror works great and is easy to mount in my helmet. Very sturdy when riding.

Others fall off or won't adjust, you can't see you have to bend your neck. This is one stays as it should and has held up.

I have used mirrors on my helmets for decades. I've really liked Third Eye mirrors but they do not fit my new helmet. The EVT mirror is significantly more expensive but much better than the Third Eye's - much more adjustable, stable, and larger. I am glad I went for this one!

I am a firm believer in rear view mirrors for safety. I have ones mounted on my eye glasses, but these were, but I needed to remember to remove them when I was off the bike. They also tended to vibrate. I made a helmet mounted mirror using a bike spoke, but it could not be easily bent into the right position. The EVT mirror solves all the above problems. No vibration; highly adjustable, but a rectangular mirror would be more useful than the round shape.

I have used helmet mounted mirrors as long as I have been wearing a helmet. This is the best mirror I have ever used. Its field of view is large, it is sturdy, stable, and indestructible. Minor drawback is its large size makes you look even dorkier; but I wear it as a badge of honor (use caution when trying to kiss loved ones with your helmet and mirror on!).

I must have a dozen bike mirror in a drawer in the garage. I've tried them all and I keep going back to the EVT Safe Zone mirror because it gives me the best view without vibration. I started using it on recumbents but now feel unsafe without it when riding any bike. Because of its size and bug-like appearance it may look dorky to some. Get over it. If you want to be safe, this is the best mirror!

I love this thing. It took a few times wearing it to get used to it but now I can't imagine being without one. It gives me a good, clear view of the road behind me and has really helped keep me safe, especially when negotiating traffic for a left hand turn. The only downsides are the time it takes to get used to it (about 3-4 rides) and it's expensive relative to other mirrors.

What is good about this mirror? Large mirror, stays where you position it, no vibration. The downside? It is a bit heavy, so my helmet wants to tip forward if I don't keep it tight.

Very sturdy, attaches to helmet easily and great view of the whole road behind me. No vibration (like handlebar mirrors), stays adjusted and doesn't move in the wind or move everytime you touch it, and unlike eyeglass mirrors, it stays in place when I take my glasses off to ride in the rain. Have had one for nearly 10 years and when mine broke (I dropped my helmet just right and the mirror broke off at the ball adjustment), I didn't hesitate to buy another--great design.

Best helmet mirror I've ever used. The 2-1/4” mirror definitely provides a “Safe Zone”, allowing a cyclist to anticipate, for example, a truck, Hummer, or other behemoth about to pass too close. True, it looks a bit nerdy protruding about 3-1/2 inches from the helmet. And better not to hug or kiss anyone with the helmet on – but great for guarding personal space! :-) Bonus: it's very easy to remove and remount, for example, for cycling on the left in the UK or Down Under. Just carry a few extra zip-ties. (Pre-1992 I'd used a tiny Chuck Harris eyeglass-mounted mirror, but it it wasn't very practical when I switched to wire-framed glasses. Ever since I'd been using a variety of helmet mirrors with usually unsatisfactory results … lots of neck-craning & readjusting.)

Riding without a mirror is like using a cell phone while driving---really dumb! Modern helmets are mostly interconnected vent holes so sticky stuff does not hold very well and always falls off 400 miles from home. Mirrors hooked to handle bars require taking your eyes off the road---not good. I started using the EVT mirror you put into your store this spring 3 years ago, having discovered it on it while on a tour here in Wyoming. Best mirror this old man has ever used. Big field of view and rock solid while offering near infinite adjustment. Worth every dime!
