A favorite of a former Tours Director, Arlen Hall, Tiger Eye mirrors have been handmade in America for over a decade. They are constructed from high grade glass optics and a stainless steel bicycle spoke and should fit almost any helmet.
Installation instructions:
To install the Tiger Eye mirror it should be placed in the northwest corner of the helmet; not too far in front or it will block forward vision, and not too far back or you will have to look too hard to the left to see it.
When attaching the mirror to the helmet the large rubber-coated U portion of the mirror that slides onto the edge of a helmet should be squeezed almost closed and then gently opened just enough to get it started on the edge of the helmet, then push it on the rest of the way. This will insure a tight attachment to the helmet; half of the U should be between the brow pad and the inside of the helmet, and the other half of the U on the outside of the helmet.
Since every helmet is different, the final adjustment requires some bending of the spoke to get the mirror where it needs to be on a particular helmet. Don't be afraid to bend it, it's a bike spoke and it won't break from bending it. Place your left finger in your left ear and bend the spoke until you can see your finger. This will require you to take the helmet on and off a few times and hold the mirror onto the helmet while you are bending it and testing it’s position. Once you have that position, set you will need to turn your head very slightly to the left to see directly behind you.
Even though I use the Garmin Varia Radar, which works extremely well, there are times when the unit disconnects from my Garmin Edge 530. This mirror provides a second way to see traffic, especially other cyclists, that are behind me. It took some time to fit the mirror onto my POC Octal, but now that it is on it stays in place and works well. I highly recommend it.

I commute, bike in traffic and ride a lot. I feel naked without a mirror. Tiger Eye is easy to attach and adjust and gives a clear, wide view. I liked mine so well, I bought one for my wife. She likes it too, says it is the clearest mirror she has had.
For me, a mirror is a requirement and this is one of the best.

I need to be careful not to knock it off or out of adjustment when removing the helmet. The clarity is the best that I've seen.

I got mine in Spring 2017. Getting it set up took a few iterations, but then it was good for over a year. I came to depend on it. But this year the reflective silver has started to deteriorate, to the point where it interferes with the view. Otherwise, I've been very happy with this mirror.

I have tried many different mirror types, including handlebar mounted, glasses mounted, and helmet glue-ons. This is the best mirror and mounting arrangement I have found. You need to be careful not to knock it off or out of adjustment when removing/storing your helmet, but I have traced the gripping end of the mirror onto my helmet with a permanent marker, so I can easily realign the mirror every time I put my helmet on. Great product!

This mirror is solid once you get it dialed in. I like the real glass lens and it keeps me from getting run over. Or more accurately, at least it won’t be a surprise.

I have 3 of these. One for each helmet. Best mirror on the market once I get it on and adjusted it stays there!?? I use a pliers to help bend the wire. Like the real glass and the clearity.

This is my first bicycle mirror. At first, it was very frustrating trying to attach it to my bell helmet. Then someone explained there was no way the spoke would fit as mokded/bent. However, he showed me it was easy to unscrew and attach to a straight spoke, which he ran through gaps at the top of the helmet and attached w ties.

I kept tweaking this mirror to see traffic behind me, but I just couldn't get it right. For very near objects, it is ok, but I found I could hear the cars/trucks long before they showed in this mirror. Maybe I need more help in the adjusting, but I felt it just didn't give me a big enough picture.

Helmet mounted bike mirrors can be a mixed bag. You're either constantly readjusting them or replacing them after they break or they're too big.
I haven't had any of these issues with the Tiger Eye. Once it was attached it stayed in place, it simply won't break, and it's small and unobtrusive. The combination of the spoke stiffness and the clasp design keeps the mirror firmly attached to the helmet shell and keeps the mirror placement fixed. The spoke is just pliable enough that you can clasp it around any size shell and it stays put. The video is helpful for understanding how to attach it. There's a bit of hit and miss at first, but that's a single event and then you're set.
I'm also impressed with the quality of the mirror itself - it's a tiny real glass mirror. So the small reflection is as clear as the road ahead. I suspect I won't need to buy another mirror for a very long time.

I really like this mirror. It's the first mirror I've had that attaches well to the helmet and stays in place. Works much better for me than my handlebar end mirror too, which didn't provide good visibility and was always needing adjustment. Gives good visibility - takes some time to get the adjustment just right, but then it stays set so you don't have to keep adjusting it. I've been looking for the right helmet mirror - finally found it!

The mirror is easy to mount to helmet. You might need to tweak the adjustment using a pair of needlenose pliers to set the rear looking field of vission to your liking.

What appeared to be a good helmet mirror proved to be difficult to attach correctly so I'm returning it. The spoke is stiff and not very bendable. Conceptually this is a good product, just too difficult to work with

Have tried several glasses- and helmet- mounted mirrors, and this one is the best I've found. Easy to adjust and gives good view of the near field behind me. The bend at the helmet end of the spoke could be longer to give a better grip on the helmet, as my visor keeps knocking the mirror out of adjustment. I used a permanent marker to outline the spoke where it grabs the helmet, which makes readjusting the mirror easier and faster. Overall, good product!

AT FIRST I DIDN'T THINK I COULD GET IT TO WORK ON MY HELMET BUT FINALLY REALIZED THAT I COULD SHAPE IT TOO MY NEEDS. ONCE ON I SAW THAT IT WAS NOT LIKE OTHER MIRRORS I WAS USED TO HAVING A MIRROR THAT I HAD TO ADJUST EVERY TIME I TOOK MY HELMET OFF AND PUT BACK ON. ONCE SET YOUR'RE GOOD TO RIDE. REALLY LIKE.

The mirror is smaller in diameter than other helmet mirrors I've used. The rear view consequently doesn't cover a wide field. The spoke is thicker and harder to bend. The mirror's glass cracked when I adjusted the spoke.

I so wanted this to work, but I could not find an angle or a sweet spot that enabled me to use this in anything resembling an effective manner. I'm sure Tiger Eye earnestly wants to have this product work for folks, but maybe all helmet mounted mirror systems are doomed. At least my money benefited ACA to some small extent. Oh well, nothing ventured nothing gained.

After going through a dozen different types of mirror systems, all of which I hated, I decided to try this, based on Arlen Hall's recommendation. I was at first a touch skeptical, worried that it didn't fit solid to the helmet and moved around a bit. In actual use, that movement really didn't affect anything, and when I tried securing the mirror more rigidly with zip ties, it actually made matters worse. The mirror support system can be bent and adjusted to the best possible position for riding. Once set, it works reliably and is quite stable on the helmet. The rear view is more than sufficient for riding needs. I have since also purchased and use an EVT Safe Zone mirror for another helmet, which also is quite excellent, though a little more expensive. Mirrors tend to be highly personal items, and what works for one person often doesn't work for another. In this case, Arlen hit it right on with me.
attractive but insufficient adjustment

This mirror is very attractive, but will not work with a helmet visor. The attachment is high on the edge of the helmet and is intended to grip the lower edge of the foam -- which it does well as long as it can be placed that high. In addition, there is no up/down angular adjustment of the mirror at the end of the wire, so the entire unit must be tipped to adjust the angle, which compromises the grip.
So the fit is far from universal, and this is not explained in the description. I give it a point for being attractive but take away the rest of the points for the lack of adjustment and inadequate description. (Who cares if the tour director likes it if it doesn't fit my helmet?)
