This is the only mirror I have found with a stem long enough to allow you to position if for good viewing to the rear. In the 70's (yeah, I'm that old) they made good rear-view mirrors that were similar to this, but many of today's offerings are woefully inadequate. This is the one to buy.

Have used this mirror on 3 US coast-to-coast rides and would never ride without one. It is very durable and gives you a great view of what is coming up behind you. Makes riding so much safer.

I’ve used one for decades, after trying half a dozen inadequate alternatives. Takes an hour or two to get used to focusing with the left eye. No time if you’ve been using a helmet or eyeglass-mounted mirror. Completely custom adjustable. Almost unbreakable metal construction. Extremely secure. Won’t work well on thin, wire temples. Needs a temple with a rectangular cross-section to secure. John Lennon glasses won’t work. Saved my life once when I was intentionally run off the road. My only riding buddies who don’t use them refuse because of vanity— think all mirrors make them look amateur. If you ride in traffic— any amount— you should be using this mirror.

As cars have gotten more aggressive and I've gotten older and still not developed eyes in the back of my head, I decided to take the plunge on a rear view mirror. This one was inexpensive and since I had little hope it would be any good, I thought why not? Bingo!! It's a winner! Adjustable, effective and works great on my riding sunglasses. Couldn't be happier.

I've tried a number of different handlebar mirrors over the years and they have all broken (usually when my loaded bike accidentally falls over while parked). This mirror has held up for years. I've dropped my helmet and the wire might bend a little but I can always bend it back. These make a great gift. With each new person using a mirror it helps normalize what should be standard riding equipment (would you drive a car without a mirror?)

I already have one of these and bought an extra for a tour I am taking next year. If the one I have broke, I would be lost without it. I use it all the time when riding even on the sidewalks. Gives you a good idea of traffic behind me.

I've tried a few helmet mounted mirrors and handlebar mirrors but feel most comfortable with a glasses mounted mirror. I've tried 2 other brands and they were very inferior. I love the adjust-ability and view I get from this mirror. I've been using them for about 12 years and have broken 2, leading to my recent purchase of 3 more so I could have a few spares or one for a friend. Excellent craftsmanship.

I have uses several box store versions that are totally worthless,but this mirror works very well. I am nearsighted and have strong corrective lenses, but I can see perfectly with these. I echo the other comments on adjustability and still able to hold a position once set.

I have used helmet and handlebar mirrors in the past but the "Take a Look" mirror is far more convenient to use and easier to install than those. It is light, very adjustable and provides excellent visibility behind me. I would highly recommend and have purchased a handful of them which I have given to friends and family.

A cyclist using a rear view mirror is kind of like a driver using a seat belt. Uncomfortable, time-consuming, and it takes some getting used to. Pretty soon, you wonder how you ever got along without it. Good fit, highly adjustable, and sturdy. Even high winds didn't change the position of the mirror. The only weakness to this mirror is me; I'm so doggone clumsy, I keep bashing it with my hands when I take off my helmet. If you are a normal human being, this mirror will deliver years of service. If you're a bull-in-the-China-shop kind of guy as I am, you'll get good service out of it. If you're more ungainly and graceless than I, no mirror is gonna do it for you.

For those of us who need to use "readers", this tiny mirror does not work. Can't focus on the small images the mirror provides so close to one's eyes.

I've been cycling for years without using a rear view mirror but decided to pick this one up because "everyone else was doing it". It's great to be able to keep an eye on the road behind while facing forward.
Well made. Durable. Infinite adjustment options.
My only critique would be to modify the optic to have a wider field of view rather than just a flat mirror.
As-is, a pretty perfect thing.

I am an advance cyclist and triathlete, also cyclo- tour, for years, my statement is" I don't know how I did it this far and this long with out this little mirror, just give it a try, you will find your self naked and afraid with out it, improves your safety and comfort at any level! I purchase one for my wife immediately. AND IS USA MADE!

This mirror was perfect for my first pair of sunglasses that wrap around and protect the my eyes from the side. The frame of the sun glasses are much thicker than most eye wear, and this mirror easily adjusted to accommodate the thickness. The mirror surface is larger, and it holds very snug, no slippage. I wear a strap on the glasses to keep them firmly in place.
