Grand Canyon National Park East Entrance closure
I’m reaching out to you because in the last 24 months you purchased a Grand Canyon Connector route map or GPX data.
Due to the COVID pandemic, the Navajo Nation closed its borders in 2020. The Nation is located on the east side of Grand Canyon National Park. From Cameron heading west, our route uses SR 64. Presently SR 64 within the Navajo Nation, and the East Entrance to the park at Desert View are closed. These closures stop any bike travel along the Grand Canyon Connector, and because of limited road networks, we do not have an alternate route at this time. Access to the park is only available through the South Entrance.
