2018 Greg Siple Award winner Rachel Horn inspired women/trans/femme people to travel by bike this fall at Bike!Bike! The conference gathers do-it-yourself cooperatives from around the world to align on empowering the world on two wheels.

Thousands of people found some normalcy in a weird year by discovering adventure in their backyards during the fifth annual Bike Travel Weekend & Bike Your Park Day, September 25 – 27. Most participants were excited to go on a local bicycle ride and discovered adventure out their back door. 

Ride your bike during the weekend of September 25 - 27, 2020 for Bike Travel Weekend and Bike Your Park Day. Create your own ride and choose when you go, who you go with, and where you go or join an existing ride. Everyone who creates a ride or joins a ride will be entered to win a bike.

2019 winner of the Greg Siple Award for Young Adult Bicycle Travel, Mary McGowan, taught  bikepacking skills to high school students.

Pam Murray of Charlotte, North Carolina won an Amtrak train trip with roomette and bike fees for two to Glacier National Park—just for registering for Bike Your Park Day in 2018. The Amtrak trip was part of the Bike Travel Weekend and Bike Your Park Day sweepstakes. Pam documented her trip, which included planes, trains, automobiles—and bikes.
